Why I fight?

I am fighting in the loving memory of one of my oldest friends' mom, Nancy Krejci who passed away from her hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer in May of 2021. Growing up in Naperville, the Krejci household was always the place you wanted to be, and Nancy was the mom who always welcomed you with a huge smile and a big embrace. Whether it was Bears Tailgates, weekends at the lake or just hanging out at the house, those early years of my life would have been completely different without her presence and the joy she brought into every aspect of her life. I certainly never imagined myself in a boxing match in front of 700 people but I have been honored to be a part of the Reaumond Foundation Associate board for the last three years and am so excited to raise money in support of Pancreatic Cancer and in honor of Nancy. Wherever she is now, win or lose, I can’t stop thinking about the grin on her face that she’ll have watching me step into that ring on March 2nd.
