Why I fight?

I am fighting for Ron Sherman, my elder neighbor and mentor. He dedicated nearly three decades to FEMA, and was a reservoir of wisdom. Our conversations were always educational and enlightening. Learning about Ron's sudden passing due to cancer after he had moved to New Mexico for a peaceful retirement was a blow. I was caught off guard, never having known about is aliment or gotten a chance for a final farewell. This upcoming boxing match is not about the competition, but my way of saluting Ron's courage and confronting life's challenges head-on.
